About this tour
A dahabiya is a traditional Nile sailing boat that carries far fewer passengers than a cruise ship, so the trip feels calm and personal. You sail south from Luxor to Aswan over four nights.
In Luxor you see Karnak and Luxor Temple, then cross to the West Bank for the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut’s temple and the Colossi of Memnon. On the way south you stop at Edfu, the temple of the falcon god Horus, and at Kom Ombo, the double temple of Sobek and Horus. In Aswan you visit Philae, the temple of Isis, the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk.
An Egyptologist guides every visit. All meals are cooked on board, with local and international dishes, and you can spend the sailing hours on the sun deck or in your cabin. Entrance fees and transfers in Luxor and Aswan are included.
