Why choose a Nile cruise Aswan to Luxor
Sailing north with the current, this cruise suits travelers who want to see the great temples of Upper Egypt without packing and unpacking. Over four days and three nights you move from Aswan to Luxor, with all meals on board and an Egyptologist for every visit.
The route links Philae, the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk with the double temple of Kom Ombo, the Temple of Horus at Edfu and finally Luxor’s West Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temple. Egypt’s official monuments site has background on many of these temples.
Pack light layers, a hat and sunscreen for the shore visits, and something warmer for evenings on the sun deck. Swimwear is useful for the pool. Drinks outside the itinerary and tips are paid on board, so keep some cash with you.
